What is the name of your state? Texas

I was fired from my job where i was getting a 50 dollar a month check for parking. After my employement was terminated i continued to recieve these checks and countinued to cash them, now they want me to send them the total amount in less than 2 weeks or i will be "sued" for it. i have two questions, one, do i have to pay this back, and two, can i pay it back in installments, they way i received this. This is both a tax write of for them and non taxable to me, i dont know if that matters. Any help would be helpful.

Yes, they can demand it back and you have to pay them. You knew you were not entitled to continue receiving this money - you have no right to keep it.

You can ask them to accept installments, but they have no legal obligation to agree.

I can't believe you're serious with this question. You knew you weren't entitled to the money - you were no longer employed there and you certainly weren't parking there. If you had sent the first check back with a note you wouldn't have the problem of wanting to make "installment payments".

Just another example of someone thinking they can get something for nothing. You got caught.
