Thanks! I do not want the kid to get in trouble because of that. When the tax time comes, I have to deal with the W2 and report the income. Hope that is not get me in trouble too.
No YOU do not report the income, the KID reports the income.

She didn't need to because she has a point. Not for nothing but I lived a long time in Mass as well and know the laws a wee bit better than you.

Well, that link certainly does seem to indicate that MA does not follow the federal child labor laws. I really do think that is too bad because working in the family business, in even a small capacity teaches a child a lot of responsibility, as well as an appreciation for what goes into earning a living.

Of course, its still moot for this thread since the child in question wasn't working for a family business.
