Just be aware that the Act only applies to class actions filed in, or that have been removed to, federal district courts. It's not clear to me whether this case was to be litigated in federal court or state court, and if state court, which state.
There are a lot of questions about this supposed class action settlement that would be nice to have answered.
chain2512, you were not a plaintiff in a suit against ComEd, were you? ComEd was sued for violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act. It was claimed that ComEd overcharged customers for electric use.
What was asked for in the lawsuit was that ComEd reimburse customers for the amounts they were overcharged. The amounts paid out to customers depends on the amounts the customers were overcharged. The reimbursed amount will vary by customer.
