As a nurse who has worked for insurance companies for the last 18 years, let me assure you that Medicaid is the best insurance she can have. She will have to pay for nothing. Not even her medications. She has no deductables, no copays, no coinsurance, no FHA, no FSA.. I wish I had insurance as good as Medicaid.

This lady appears to have a deep psychological need to have guardianship of this kid for some reason...


At 18 you don't need anything legal to take care of someone. do it out of the kindness of your heart, not for whatever you NEED this guardianship for.

We have all given you the reasons "to put her on my health insurance" doesn't work for 18 year olds. Maybe 2 year olds, when someone is trying to swindle custody... but not of an 18 year old...

I do wonder, does this child already have insurance?

It seems to me she may already be on medicaid or something. There has got to be more to this story.
