It's authentically amazing to me that, after 5 years in an abusive relationship with a child of abuse (my ex's dad used to put her in the hospital a couple of times a year and she came to our relationship not just scarred, but fightin' mad at everyone EXCEPT her sick, sick father), and 6 years, 8 months in institutionalized care (THAT'S what I meant by having had my head under the covers), that I'd suddenly begin to care about the moral judgements of a group of anonymous Jerry Springer audience wannabees.
