What is the name of your state? california
Nice neighbors and I have successfully "encouraged" a slumlord to evict drug dealing tenants. Papers served to them indicate a 90 day max for them to vacate.
'"Too long" for comfort ' say myself and the nice neighbors because the passive/aggressive retaliation garbage is( continuing) by all the "displaced" customers.
Can we now threaten to sue the drug dealers for "running a business out of the home" and creating (actually ongoing) a nuisance within the neighborhood for all the traffic?

Our attorney says don't bother with the $$ threat against them..they have nothing.
Our thoughts are NOT $$$ but that this will encourage them to leave sooner so they do not have to face defending themselves in court.

Are your calls to the local police going unanswered? Call the cops and have these scumbags arrested for dealing dope instead of this "running a business" nonsense!

No. The police answer EVERY time.
They just don't show up. Even 911 calls.
EVERYBODY knows these scumbags deal dope. Including the cops.
They just say, "yeah, I'd hate to have neighbors like that too." , or, "misdemeanor, our hands are tied" , or the ever famous, "no victim, no crime" . Oh I forgot this one, "WE , as in a cop, have to see them deal the drugs otherwise it's not happening."

The ONLY way to get them evicted was to threaten the landlord with a lawsuit from about a half dozen neighbors..then all of the sudden his tenants were not "just regular folk".

They have about an easy 25 regular customers who certainly distribute for them to keep the misdemeanor status at an all time low during deliveries. The cops here let these kids go when they are caught. And they all come back here to our neighborhood. SO, this is a serious question, since these people know , we all know and have evidence they deal and do drugs at the property, can we proceed with such a threat to get them to split early?
They know we had enough evidence to rattle the cage of the landlord to get them evicted.
PLEASE advise.

A: Yes. Absolutely. Please tattoo your social security number on a prominent body part so your next of kin can be notified.
