Keep paying the mortgage till you get your insurance money and then pay the loan off (if you have enough money).

Why are the insurance people taking so long? You should've had your money in March at the latest!

insurance is taking so long,my husband designated me and our two children as beneficiaries how ever he put 100% to me and 50% each to our children,a total of 200%,now they want me to get an atty ad litem for the children, they said it would take 3 to 6 months.I just want to know what would happen if the lender found out that my husband is gone, are they going to force me to pay off the loan or can they sell the house?

Keep paying the mortgage and don't tell them.

You have to remember

basically the lender really doesnt care if mickey mouses name is on the mortgage as long as it gets paid!, they really dont go looking for trouble, thats not how they make money and its all about the money!!!
