What is the name of your state? Connecticut

This is in Manchester CT (Hartford Cty).

I posted before about this illegal sublet and the primary tenant now pushing me to move out ASAP even though we have a signed agreement thru January 2008.

Yesterday, I find that the lock was changed again and I am locked out. The management company even admitted changing the lock telling me that I am not on lease and in effect I am trespassing. They tell me that the primary tenant told them to change the lock & I was trespassing which is a lie. I have a signed agreement and over 5 months of cashed rent checks.

This person told me that he warned me that at any time I could be evicted, the locks changed and won't be able to access my stuff.

Is this legal?? The police won't help since I am not on the lease and tell me I am going to have to hire an attorney and goto housing court.

If you had been a legal tenant... in a legal property, no.
However, as an illegal tenant... and knowingly in an illegal property... the OWNER can claim you as a trespasser and secure the property (including the ILLEGAL access to your location).

The police won't help since I am not on the lease and tell me I am going to have to hire an attorney and goto housing court.
The police are correct. You knowingly violated the law... and they won't help you to continue the violation. Your only recourse is to file a lawsuit against YOUR landlord (the tenant)....
However, you can not recover your rent you already paid and can only pursue recovery of your property (or current 'fair market value').
