What is the name of your state? Montana I have been trying to convince my friend that getting married will not make a warrant go away. Changing your last name will not change it. So all my work I have been doing for her is out the window! Would some one please write in and say the same thing, getting married/ name change will not make her warrant go away! Thank You

Ditto what Seniorjudge said.

The warrant is for the arrest of an individual - not for the arrest of the name. Changing the name will have no effect on the validity of the warrant.
