What is the name of your state? Ohio

Well, hi.... I am in the U.S on a student visa, presently working under Optional Practical Training. Now me and my U.S citizen boyfriend want to get married. Here are few questions:

A) Should I get married first then deal with all that is required to now" permanently" stay here?

B) Should I deal with all the forms, procedures, etc before getting married?

Where do I start if i choose a? what about b?

Thank You.

You need to look at changing status, I am not a law professional. But have just completed a similar process. I suggest you get a lawyer and apply to change your status from a student to a citizen. The getting married part is really easy it is the completion of the forms correctly and the costs that are involved that is the hard part.
Just make sure you give yourself enough time to complete the paperwork and get the certificates together before you send anything away.
Check out the BCIS site that gives you lots of information.

Hope this helps..
