What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
Has anyone had difficulty finding a doctor after moving because it was someone else's "work" and has anyone taken on medtronic legally for failure to inform the hell you go thru finding a physician or in our case just letting it dry out for months, until by the grace of God someone finally removed it ?

as Zigner states; how is that the fault of Medtronic.

You have experienced a very typical scenario. Many doctors will not take on another doctor's patients, especially if there are ongoing treatments. They do not want to incur the possible liability from a situation that they did not have complete control of. Sorry but that is just a reality of the world today.

That's not a legal question.

I can read that you are frustrated, but it is not the manufacturing company's job to inform its customers about the availability of physicians in each town/county/state/country. That's not their function, nor is it possible.

Yes, others have gone through the same difficulties. Medtronic pumps deliver narcotics, and it's often difficult to change pain management providers. In addition, not all pain management providers are familiar with this type of pump. The previous doctor should have assisted you in locating a new practice to manage your care. Of course it seems like a moot point now since the pump has been removed and I assume you are receiving your medication through a different route. While Medtronic may have offered you assistance in this matter, it is not actually their duty, they sometimes provide assistance as a service to their customers, but they never would have promised you success. And this is not something that anyone should have had to warn you about. What steps did you take prior to moving to see about transferring your care?
