Thank you, sir. I did just that.

From the legal department of the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission, that there is no STATE restrictions in place for this situation. Meaning, local and city ordinances must be checked and followed.

I knew the latter part about local ordinances. However, in our county, there is not an ordinance concerning minors within these establishments. There are city ordinances, like mine, that states absolutely no minors allowed after 9pm.

so country music establishments are dive bars and wine venues aren't? What a freaking bigot you are.

I didn't get that from OP's post at all. (Bigotry? Really?) I got that generally, upscale wine bars are fine for a 16-year-old and roadside taverns/honky-tonks are not fine for a 16-year-old. As a general rule, that seems perfectly acceptable to me.
