What is the name of your state? NY (UPSTATE)

If I am being charge with an "A. Misdemeanor" - Criminial Possession , and chose to accept the "plea-bargain", would I still have a "Criminal Record"? And If so, can this Misdemeanor (record) be sealed? So I can still have a future and have a job? Thanks.

It will depend on what crime you committed. However, your record is always there. Just because it is sealed, authorites or future prosecutors can still use your past record to convict you. The expungement is only good for if you want to get a job without "criminal history". Again, in order to expunge, it will depend on what crime you committed.

In New York, a sealing order under CPL § 160.50 includes all official records and papers, including judgments and orders of a court but not including published court decisions or opinions or records and briefs on appeal, relating to the arrest or prosecution, including all duplicates and copies, on file with the division of criminal justice services, any court, police agency, or prosecutor’s office. Sealed records are not made available to any person or public or private agency for general purposes, but may be unsealed in the interest of justice and used in later proceedings and applications for licenses, certain employment.

Thank you very much for the advice.

I recently took the polygraph test, and they said it shows deception. Therefore they might press charges, either Criminal Possession of Stolen Property or Pity Larceny. Both I believe its Class A Misdemeanor.

I guess I have two questions for you mentors:
1) I am 19 years old, and I am a very good college student. I want to know if I was charged, and if I was quilty or quilty by taking the Plea-Bargain, would I be eligible for a Seal Record? Thanks

2) I agree to take the polygraph test to prove innoncent when they asked me, however I wonder why/what this "polygraph" test for? is it because they do not have enough evidence alone to charge me? Thanks

Have a nice day. Thank for your all your advices.
