I got a speeding ticket in my new state of Oregon, which I was told could only be contested by mail. I received the officer's statement, which incorrectly states that he verified my identity with an Oregon license. I only had a Washington State license when I was pulled over, but had since exchanged it for my Oregon license.
Is this mistake big enough to use as my sole defense, and if so, how do I prove I did not have an Oregon license at the time?

Thankyou!

Check you ticket and see what state he used to write your ticket with. If the wrong state is on the ticket, you have a good chance of winning.
