Couple of questions or rather arguements have come up between me and the ex recently regarding how the original vs. the modification of the decree work.

For example in the original decree it has the "child must be home 7 days prior to the start of school" yet the modification specifies exact weeks that I have my child in the summertime. Like it says "beginning at 6:00 on the 4th Friday in July and ending at 6:00 on the following Friday which takes it into August. Well the expected start date of school for the upcoming year takes it to 6 days prior to the start of school. I say I get her as it specifies in the modification, ex says no....so who is right?

Also, doesn't everything in the original decree that is not addressed in the modification still stand?

Always go by the latest modification. If an issue isn't addressed specifically in the modification, go by the previous order.
