What is the name of your state? Washington

I have posted questions on here regarding parenting plans before and all of you have been such a huge help. I thank you for that.

Anyway I have a new question. Can you put a begin date and end date on a PP? My son is six, and I am trying to modify the PP because of my ex husbands mental illness/abandonment etc. Can we make a new PP and then have it end when my son is ten, revisit the situation, then modify it again?

well the beginning date is easy, that is the date that the judge signs the parenting plan and makes it a court order. You don't need to enter that information, the judge will do it for you. ;)

the end date, well , you could put an end date, but it wouldn't really matter, the parenting plan would be in in effect until the next time the judge entered a begin date for you. you know on the new parenting plan. ;) the one that you have to file to modify the old one.

What drastic changes are you expecting at the age of 10? Most changes revolve around a child beginning school or some other major event.

Not drastic changes in my sons life. Changes in my ex's life. Like I said, he is mentally ill, he abandoned our son for four years (he's six). My ex says he has received help for his illness, but has yet to prove it. My lawyer has asked him for proof, i've asked him for proof, he just says he has it, and if I ask him again for proof of help, he will file charges for harassment.

I am fighting the overnights my son has with him, because of my ex's multiple suicide attempts.

Can a judge ask for the proof of his "Help" and/or medical records?

wow, I am not that versed in mental illness (although some might disagree) I am going to leave your thread to those who are more familiar with court procedures requiring evaluations.
