What is the name of your state? Florida
Well my ex did not pay his support most of the last year, and has never been that good about it. Anyway he was arrested in 12/02 with 77 one ounce gold kugerrands. I got the courts to seize the coins and they are being sold to pay his back support. This brings new questions.
1. How much can the courts and DOR keep as costs? And where can I find the laws concerning this?
2. Do I have a say in how it is distributed? He owes me 9,000. in alimony and 27,000. in child support. Can the courts pay the alimony first? This would clear that debt. the coins are worth about 25,000.

Anybody have any ideas? The reason I want to know is about a year ago he paid about 4,000. to get his DL back and DOR kept about 3/4 of the money.

is part of the back child support money owed to the state for welfare your kids obtained? If yes, the state will take first grab of the money.

more questions

Well I found out DOR can't take any more of the money but still don't know about the lawyer appointed to sell coins? Also this guy was supposed to have done this before the new year, still no word from him, I have called his office about 12 to 15 times in the last 6 weeks but he NEVER calls me back. Any body have any ideas?
