What is the name of your state? OHIO

Hello I hope I am posting on the correct fourm here....

With my current income I was able to get approved for a home of 154,000. I am a single father with full custody and want to sell my home and move into a larger house that is 191,000. My attorney states that my ex (once filed) will owe me $900 a month in child support.
My question is how does this add into my over all income for a mortgage qualification? Is it enough that I have the order from the court showing the support amount? Is the court order enough proof of child support income? What else is needed if anything?

Thank you

The suport calculator my attorney uses is almost $900 per month. All I need to do if file the support modification. I already have Full custody. I just want to know what is required as proof of child support income. Is the order by a court enough?

Thanks

Speak to a LO, but I believe that the loan underwriter will want to see a history of you RECIEVING that monthly CS payment in order to count it as funds toward loan qualification. Th4e fact that you are entitled to file for that amount is NOT proof to a lender that this amount is being recieved or even that it has BEEN ordered, or is garnishable/collectable.

Child support is not income.
