What is the name of your state? California

Help? I really did it to myself due to sheer procrastination! And at 40, I should know better!
First: I was invovled in a MVA 1 week ago. The other driver made a left hand turn into my driver/passenger doors. Originaly, after we assessed the damages she suggested that I get estimates and submitt them to her and she would pay....Great! I thought, since I had not renewed my licence when it expired in October and have no insurance on my vehicle.
Well, at the time I noticed some pain in my left side and a headache, hoping to keep it simple I decided to forgo the doctor.
The next day, I developed a severe headache, keeping me in bed. The following day, I developed diarreah and was unable to keep anything down, including ice, my friends convinced me to go to the urgent care where they immediatley started an IV, ordered labs and xrays (no health insurance either, I have to pay $) At the time I didn't mention the MVA to the medical staff as my friends had suggested. Results of visit: My abd. films show bulging in the intestines, etiology ? Instructed to f/u with own doctor which I do. She examines me, recommends bed rest instructs me to return in 1 wk, and repeat labs. Sooner if symptoms worsen. (More $$$$)
In the meantime, the other driver phones, leaves a message at my house stating her car damage is $3000 so it will be going through the insurance (My Ford Explorer looked worse, I am sure it will be alot too)and she needs my drivers licence number? Uh oh....Unable to call back do to recent illness I receive another call from her insurance company who left a message stating that they are assuming responsibility for the accident and want to speak with me about getting my vehicle repaired. Now what??? I am obviously going to have to pay the piper for my procastination, but how much?? What are the penalties for no insurance and expired CDL? Will the insurance company still cover the repairs since they already have stated they assume full responsibility? And now, what about my medical bills, should I speak to my doctor to see if all this is related? I continue to have daily headaches and intestinal pain, low back tingling? Can I get these covered, since I'm already in deep with my own negligence? Why should I have to pay more due to her lack of attention - therefore causing me to pay out of my pocket for my medical bills?
Please Help, any suggestions? Tomorrow it will be the 8th day. Where do I start? What should I do first? Who do I talk too? Do I call back the other party or the insurance company? I have no idea, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

In California you are entitled to recover your vehicle damages, your medical bills and any economic damages, such as loss of wages. You will not be entitled to collect anything for pain and suffering, because under California law you are not entitled to this if you were driving uninsured. That's the good news.

The bad news is that you are going to have your driving priviledge suspended for driving without insurance. The other carrier will notify the DMV and advise them you were uninsured. YOU are required to file a SR1A form with the DMV when you have an accident involving more than $750 in property damage or any bodily injury. Regardless of who was at fault.

I suggest you contact the other party's adjuster and come clean. Let them know you were driving without insurance. They will find out anyway, because they are going to ask you to show proof you had insurance prior to paying your injury claim.

You also blew it by failing to notify the hospital that your injuries were rec'd in the car accident. When the other party's adjuster reviews your injury claim, the medical records will not reflect that your injuries were caused in this accident. Good luck convincing them that they were.
