What is the name of your state?Colorado
I signed allocation of parental responsibility to my childrens paternal aunt while iI was in jail. The court order said that the children were to live with the aunt and myself and their father were to have visitation at her discretion. Instead she let the kids live with the father and because he said so only let me see them occasionally under her supervision. When I said I was going to court the aunt moved to California and left the kids here with their father who dissappeared. I recently found out where he left my children (with the mother of his new girlfriend ) . I have not seen my children or known where they were since Easter! What are my rights and what can I do legally?

Can I do that? Report it to the police under the circumstances and after all this time? I would have long ago if I thought I had the right to.

Go pick up your kids. As long as the people do not have any "guardianship" (by court order) over your children, and the father is MIA...Then pick the kids up! They are your children and cannot be denied to you (unles it is in violation of a court order).

However, personally....If you did something so profound to be commited to jail for a period of time....I would not be to optimistic of you actually keeping the children indefinately.
