Long story short, I found a job in a real estate office working as a receptionist and the probation period didn't work out so I was terminated. Even though I felt a if I was wrongfully terminated I didn't argue or fight. I left in a civil matter and hopes to move on with my life ASAP as this isn't something I'm proud of either. After my termination, I reached out to a realtor who is an independent contractor that "works" there - I texted him and I thanked him for his friendship and kindness for the short time I was there and he seems really cool about it We exchanged 4 texts (2 from me and 2 from him) and that's yet... The next day, my ex employer called me on my cell phone from his cell phone threatening to sue me if I contact any of his "associates" again...

A few things to consider....

1. I know that the boss cannot just "find out", I'm sure that the realtor told him - and obviously I won't do it again. I just wanted to be a good person and say goodbye because who knows, one day I might want to buy a house with him, and he was a nice and friendly person... It was so pure and innocent. No hidden agenda.

2. I did not steal anyone's phone number off any personal and confidential database - The realtor's cell phone number was on his official website where he does his advertising.

3. I'm a 21 year old broke-ass student looking for a part time job whilst in post secondary. Idk what the **** he thinks I'm gonna do and I don't know why someone so "little" like me triggered him so much that I'm out here being threatened with a lawsuit to network with people.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

"Ignore the jackass" works in Canada too. In neither country does the employer have anything remotely resembling a lawsuit, and there's no reason for this poor kid to be afraid of one.
