Just a little update to all of you opinionated couch potatoes.... I look up family law codes and there is a code that said if one of the parents were in a relationship that had domestic violence, within 2 yrs of the suit then in the best interest of the children, they would not be awarded to that parent. So in this case, the domestic violence that was reported in the police records and the previous court papers gives US the upper hand on the situation. I love my husband and his kids. And when I said I do meant I do to every aspect of his life.

there are so many things wrong with your story. So many.

Dad not only couldn't take care of his kids but decided to have two more children.

Dad didn't care enough to bring them home before shacking up and making a family with you.

Now all the sudden dad thinks he wants custody now that mom is back in the picture.

you say he has a stable home and job and blah blah blah but all this time he has yet to have custody of his child.

Sounds to me his priorities have been messed up all along.

So Dad still doesn't care enough to ask for himself. Do him a favor and release his balls for a few minutes a day, okay?

In the hope that maybe SOMETHING will sink in eventually:

There is nothing that gives "US" the upper hand. You are not a part of it. You are a legal stranger. It does NOT involve you. How many more ways do you need to be told that?

Furthermore, was there any DV CONVICTION? Accusations are meaningless in this context. There must be a conviction for it to have any relevance.
