What is the name of your state?PA

I requested in writing to see my husband's records that are in position of the main SSD office. They sent me back a response that it is their policy only to give me a copy of the medical records. They did enclose them. I thought he had a right to see all of the records. By that I mean all records including comments, etc. from the local office which originally denied his claim.

Yes, he does.

Just go down to the SSA office, take a number, wait, and when they call your number you and your husband tell them you are there to see his complete file. They can not deny you this right.

I have a copy of my entire file from SSA, including notes that the office staff wrote about my visit to see my file, notes from the person at DDS that initially made the decision (denial) on my case (when he spoke with me on the phone, what was discussed, etc.), my medical records of course, the report from the SSA doctor that I had to see for them, other reports from other people... I have it all.

I believe if your records are for "psych related "services they do have the right to with hold parts of it for "your own personal safety.

PA. Thank you. I did go to the office and copied all the exhibit files. Now I know exactly why he was denied. It amazes me how they can make their initial decision without even seeing someone. I definitely disagree with their determination. What a nightmare!!!
