Now THIS I find hilarious... she eats you out of house and home???? So goes the argument that boys eat more than girls - and she's stick thin. I need her to breathe on me.

LOL I'm thinking you've missed my stories about how she can eat. She has been known to eat, in one sitting: an order of fried mac & cheese, bread, salad (no dressing), a 3 lb sirloin, the remainders of her hostess's 3 lb sirloin (SHE told me there was roughly half left), baked potato and dessert. And then rummage through the fridge an hour later. I rarely take them out anymore, because it's simply insupportable. HE, on the other hand, is happy with a slice of pizza. LOL When her class or friends have pizza? They order one just for her.

She is, however, extremely active.

when? WHEN?

In time. I think my two got fed up with me alternating between yelling and following along behind them!

I just got out of my third bath today. I definitely run more water than he does.

Well.... okay.

He's not old enough to work...:( He's so waiting for when he is old enough. He said his first job was going to be at Footlocker (yeah!!!!!!!!). If I find them for cheap, he's at $80 - 90/pair.

Yeah, I don't play that. The most I'll go is Cons - and THOSE are $60/pr. He wants more than that? He'd best find the money for it.

Well, first of all, it's not like they couldn't if they wanted to...

However, with that same argument, one could say that your expenses for a child not in your house for 2 months go down considerably since you're not feeding her, you're not clothing her, you're not paying for hygeine items, no electricity, gas, cable television, entertainment, etc. So, what's the value of half the expense of her bedroom cost when balanced against the CS?

See why you should be quiet?

Court Clerk, your argument does not hold water. Cable, we all watch it and I would not shut it off for two months, just not cost effective and many are locked into contracts anyhow, just not a good idea. Electricity, will go down a little bit there are four people in our home for example if one goes to visit his dad then subtract a percentage from the bill, thats all. You dont shut off the electric. As far as clothes go, I would not be buying clothes over the summer anyhow, the big expense comes in August when I buy back to school clothes, and that all on me, not his dad. SO, that is why I DID NOT stay quiet. lol renting the room out was a joke..... My advice stands, dont ever volunteer to give back CS unless Court Ordered to do so. BTW all the above is for those that actually have their kiddo visit with their NCP, mine has not had a visit with his father since summer of 2000.

Oh, I will add that, in addition to clothes, I provide the other personal items my kids need when they go to their Dad's. From toothbrushes to sanitary items and everything in between. So... yeah... I'm sure not saving much - if any - money when they're away.

So they are "allowed" to bring their personal items with them now? How "big" of dad!

They just do it. A bit harder to tell a 16yo she can't bring sanitary products than it is an 11yo. There's a showdown I might pay to see!

Of course, they rarely go up now. I think, this year, it's been.... two weekends, total? There is no plan for the summer. Dunno abut TDay - it's his this year, I think. #1's already said he plans to spend Christmas here. So.... yeah.

response to question

you should check your custody papers and see what they say. I know that in mine it says that any additional expenses the NCP inherits while the child is in his physical custody is in addition to the agreeded child support order not in lue of it.

There is no custody order, nor is there a visitation order. Only a child support order that states he is to pay every month without fail via income deduction order.
