hon, if you had sex with him ONE time, you are telling the courts he is an acceptable father. that's how it works. not only did you have sex with him at least once, but your also continued your pregnancy despite other venues.

so he will get rights when he files. and he won't need his mommy to be around him and the baby. his mommy is NOT his doctor. she's the one who is responsible for raising such a slob in the first place!

I'd be willing, yes, if I could get him away from his computer. He supposed to be going to therapy and a program to help him find a job, but hasn't gone to either in at least a month and a half.

Then you should have either a.) used better birth control (or made certain you were using it properly) or b.) not had sex with him at all.

Seeing as you couldn't have conceived that child without his sperm (and his sperm wouldn't have had an egg to fertilize had you not invited them in) the reality is that you're in this together now like it or not. He was just as much a part of making that child as you were so therefor he has just as much right to it as as you do. Time to get used to reality.

You do realize that any person you have sex with you can get preggers by, right? As no form of BC is 100%, you, by having sex with a virtual stranger, are admitting that said VS is fine and dandy as Daddy.

In the future please actually KNOW the man you are sharing your body with and potential child's future with.

On this one...Both you and child are SOL. Good Job.
