I pressed charges against my brother on Sunday evening, Feb. 6th. He was picked up and sent to a correctional instit. awaiting I believe a hearing at the House of Common Pleas. Their he learned his case could not be heard bec. this case was family related and all charges were dropped. I was told it had to be heard in Family court. I have tried to contact the district attorney ( this was who I was told I would get some answers) but have not rec. a phone call back. He was released and no one rearrested him at the time. He was told he could go and he walked out the door. Is he free? Are all my charges dropped. Why has no one contacted me? If they are not dropped how do I go about dropping them? Please help me!!!

What did your brother do? My brother used my car without my permission.
How did you press charges? A police officer came to my house.
Who arrested him? The police officer
What has that agency said? I just got a call from the District attorney office. They said the case hasn't been filed with them yet. We should rec. something in the mai regarding court date.
Do you have an order of protection? I requested a restraining order.

Need answers quick!

Not really the lady that gave me this info. did not work in that dept. She tried to look it up and could notfind anything. So she said I will have to talk with someone else but they may not be in this week. How do I go about getting the charges dropped?
