Lurker
If y'all don't mind a PSA, this is why you don't throw food out of your car. A lot of people think food is okay vs. paper trash because it will biodegrade. Food lies on the curb, rodent shows up to eat the food, raptor swoops down to eat the rodent--directly in the path of a car. The vast majority of injuries at the center are birds being hit by cars.

And despite their size, they're very lightweight because their bones are practically hollow. An adult Golden Eagle--and that's a big ass bird--only weighs about 12 pounds. They won't kill what they can't fly off with. Vultures eat it where it lies, but they rarely kill anything.

Raptors aren't dangerous to either humans or most pets. I've only been injured by birds that were trying to get away from me because I was trying to grab them.
