What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Texas

I have a 17 year old daughter that has been in and out of trouble for
many years. She lives with me. She will not follow any rules whatesoever
and is very mean and rude. I need her to move out. She wants to get an
apartment, but to do that I would have to be the signer on the lease. I
do not really mind doing this for her. However, I am concerned that even
though I do not live there I could be in trouble if she gets into any kind of
trouble with the law. I know I would be responsible financially, and that is
ok. But my question is, if she gets in trouble over there at the apartment
would I be in trouble? Or, since she is 17, would that be primarily her
problem?

Until she is 18 or emancipated, she can't legally enter into a binding contract. You would have to take full responsibility. Why not wait until she is 18? How did she get this way? Is she punished when she behaves badly? And you want to help this bad child, why? Sounds like she needs to learn some lessons on her own.

I totally agree. She does need to learn some lessons on her own. However, it will not work having her at home. And I understand that in the
State of Texas she can legally leave home if she likes. Also, she is considered
an adult in the eyes of the courts and legally. That is why I am confused on
the issue.

I'm not familiar with TX law, but how is she considered an adult? Until she is 18, being an adult, she can't enter into a contract.
