We live in California.

A year ago we filed for BK 13. Although we have made every payment on time, our circumstances have now changed significantly.

I've been laid off from work, although collecting unemployment, up to 5 more months (total of 6).

My husband is now incapacitated, on state disability.

Financially we need to convert to a 7.

I'd appreciate answers to two questions for now:

Will we be able to keep at least one of our two cars?
(At time of filing 13, we still owed 12k on one car and 14k on the other.) Does the fact that I'm a caregiver to my disabled adult dependent daughter qualify me for needing to keep a car for her welfare?

Do you suppose that our same attorney will charge us for the conversion? If so, what is a general fee for this changeover.

In advance, I thank you for your help.
