I live in Tenn. I am the step-parent of two girls their ages are 11 and 12,their father and I went and had their mothers rights taken away a little over a year ago. The lawyer said it would take another $1000.00 for me to adopt them, we just don't have that kind of money, we have a child together plus my two daughters, I really want to adopt them as soon as I can and as cheap as I can, can anyone help? Thanks

$1000 is very reasonable. You might try to find a how to book and then get a paralegal to assist you in filling out the necessary forms.
