What is the name of your state?tx

the doctor prescribed 35 pills for my moms neck pain. she died a month later. i read that steroids can cause heart problems but it was such a short time. i read that they definately raise your blood pressure and my mom had extremely high blood pressure and my moms primary care doc knew it. should i pursue a lawsuit. does anyone know about prednisone and prescribing it to a 62 year old female with high blood pressure. any advice. thanks, jason

oh yeay, the doc prescribed the prednisone on 6/10 and then three weeks later prescribed my mom 200 mg of celebrex. seems to much for a female that age, high blood pressure and cholesterol.

I don't see anything wrong with the prescribed medications or dosages. Obviously your mother was in pain from some kind of arthritis and needed relief of the pain. Pain relief is necessary for controlling other diseases and conditions such as high blood pressure. Your mother obviously had underlying health problems and those health problems are most likely the cause of death.

I suppose, just for the heck of it, you should contact an attorney involved in the lawsuits against Celebrex (which doesn't look as promising as other lawsuits against other medications) .

reponse

hypertensive cardiovascular disease was the cause. no not terminal. the had hypertension which is why i dont think the drug should have been prescribed since the drug elevates the blood pressure alot. its a steroid, there bad for the heart.

neck injury and i don't know how long they were prescribed but the number was 35. the big deal in my opinion is that you don't give someone something that is going to agravate a possible deadly disease (hypertension).
