Sorry Tim. I don't understand your comment.

Um... You sued your previous employer, successfully, in a multimillion $ class action suit. You are proposing the same here again. So that a prospective employer doesn't look at you as a troublemaker, and therefore not hire you, Tim is suggesting that you... tread lighted.

That's a valid point. I doubt this information would come up during an employment verification since this is a large company. They are too worried about defamation lawsuits and will provide very basic information to another potential employer. Any information about me having sued them could obviously harm me for a future job and I could then sue them if the information provided was incorrect. Since the person providing the info will have no details they would be taking a big chance to comment about such a matter. In any case no one I work with now even knows about my IBM lawsuit. These lawsuits stay under the radar.

It's a valid point but look I'm not the one breaking the law. This company paid me 7.5 years as non-exempt and then "someone" got the great idea they could save $20k in overtime a year by reclassifying me (and others) without change in our duties of providing basic support and maintenance of computer equipment. I will fight and sue companies that do that and help others as well. It's Clark Griswold getting enrolled in the jelly of the month club.

Of all the cheap, lousy ways to save a buck!....That's pretty low, Mister. If I had a rubber hose I would beat you with it....

To put what this company spends in perspective, I was just helping to support a conference for the executives of this company. Two hundred and fifty of them flew in from around the country to meet at a very nice resort hotel right next to the beach. Extremely posh and upscale. I provided IT support throughout that event and I was privy to see the total bill for the event. It was over $600k for 3 days (not including exec air fare). Someday I may reveal this companies name and it would probably make some of you mad because most of us are paying for this in some form or another.
