neighbor issue - do I need a fence?

They do not have the right to tell you that you cannot park on your own driveway. In fact, they are being ridiculous if they even ask you not to park on your own driveway.

You should park wherever you want on your own driveway, and if they damage your car then you call the police for an accident report and turn it in to their insurance company.

However, if you consider it uncomfortable to live there simply because your neighbor is a doofus, then that is all on you.

Am not interested in giving them ingress to a portion of my property, to quote the neighbor - "that won't work for me".

They decided they needed to come over, they decided my car was on my drive could get hit - so they had to tell me not to park my car on my drive to save them the inconvenience of hitting it. Really?

Again, if they damage your car, then they are responsible for that damage...that would be the same even if you parked in THEIR driveway.

Yea, I another possibility is I concrete over to within 6 inches of their drive and park cars there - then they can't even get in/out of their cars.

I'm trying to find a solution here.

You were given possible solutions...I think what you are really looking for is a way to one-up your neighbor.

How is allowing them to make use of my property fostering a neighborly relationship?
There are laws that if I do that, I give up my property to them, no?

What if the kid slips on my drive - was that answered? Or just can't do anything till someone gets hurt?

If I'm backing out of my garage onto my driveway and they're kids playing on it, I don't see them because they're down low and I'm looking at my garage so I don't hit my car against the garage or hit my wife's car next to it?

At least before I had until the sidewalk to stop and look around, then continue to back out.

The guy left his window down in his truck last fall. It was raining and snowing, I told him about it so he could close it - does that make me not a good neighbor? Does this mean I am immature?

I find this OP completely immature. I have a driveway that LITERALLY abuts the neighbors. Never have I had a ding on my car from them. Maybe it is just because my neighbor and I are ADULTS unlike OP who is a spoiled entitled brat.

Curious ? when the neighbors had their driveway installed was it wide enough to park ALL vehicles they owed easily so the vehicles could easily open doors etc with out having to step on your property ? ( reason I asked is back when I had the four plex we had paid a paving company to pave for us enough space to park 3 cars but later on had chose to squeeze in 4 which meant our outer edge vehicles were parked in such a way that when we got in or out we were standing on gravel which was still on our own lot ) If your neighbors are squeezing vehicles in because they didn't build the driveway wide enough and are trying to treat the area in between your driveway and theirs as if it was a common / shared area yes you are free to have a boundary survey done so you know exactly where the lot line sits , then install a fence and if your city codes do not address set backs from lot lines then perhaps you might want to choose a material that will not need maintenance or say keeping a fence at 4 ft high so even if the fence is installed two inches to your side of the lot line you can still reach most of it say if you were to paint it , then with a longer extension handle and a roller you could still re paint it from your side of the fence.

If you fence both sides (and even the back) of your property lines, then it won't look like it's specifically because of their parking situation. There's lots of different fence types, could even make it a very open split rail type fence. That would be easy for maintenance. That's an easy fix to this situation.
