What is the name of your state? ohio

one of the people that just moved into my apt. building spoke with me today saying that he heard another tenent in our building who also works for the apts. tell the leasing agent that drugs where being sold out of my apt. there is no truth in this what so ever and i have no idea why this person would do this seeing as i dont even know them and only occasionally say hi in passing in the hallway. although the person that told me ask me not to say anything cuz he was the only one there besides the other neighbor and the leasing agent so they would know he said something to me and being as he is new here he dont want to make the apts. mad at him but he felt he needed to tell me cuz he felt that dude was starting trouble for me wether it was true or not. there is no drugs in my home and none being sold out of my home either there isnt even so much as a tylenol with codine.i am worried that my apts would not renew my lease due to what this person says seeing as he works for them and i am sure the believe him to be a reliable source of info. should i speak up to my apt manager about this or should i just keep quiet and see where they go with it? ty for any help

more info
we do not play loud music and we do not have guest coming over almost never except for my parents (we have no life lol) we basically sit here me on the puter and hubby when not at work watching tv. because of issues i had years ago with other children in the apt. complex and my kids, my kids have not been allowed to hang around any one here at the apts. so its rare when any of their friends stop over. there really isnt any kind of suspsious activity going on from our apt. so why this guy would tell them this is beyond me.

Is there any signs that of suspicious activity ?

Ie: a lot of people coming and going ?

Loud guest , music ?

Perhaps guest that he may have overheard a conversation about drugs ?

You already know something about the person who just moved into your building; he's either an eavesdropper and a troublemaker or he made up the whole thing. Since he doesn't want you to identify him as the source of the "warning," I tend to think he made up the whole thing. Why? Who knows why some people do the things they do.

The landlord is not going to take action against you without proof. Say nothing for now. Avoid the new tenant. And conduct yourself in a way so as not to attract undue attention, such as having people over at all hours of the day and night.
