hello I just had my 341 meeting last tuesday, march 21. Unfortunately, today I just
left the hospital with an 8000 USD bill because I was in need of a blood transfusion.
Plus, I'm going to need more medical care. Is it possible to at least have the hospital
bill added to my bankruptcy before its discharged?
Any help and info is appreciated.

Unfortunately, debts incurred post-petition are all on you. I strongly suggest you get ahold of the hospital's finance people and see if you can work out arrangments, you may be eligible for a discount. Don't wait until they ASK for payment and you can't do it.

I spoke with financial assistance counselors before leaving the hospital.
I make about $1050 before deductions, about $850 after deductions.
Counselor informed me I made too much money to qualify for the
financial assistance program. (Damn, How poor do you have to be)
Just when I thought I was getting rid of my debt, I end up right
back in the hole.
very discouraging, very depressing

My response:

Since you haven't received your final discharge orders, talk to a BK attorney about the viability of dismissing your current BK and then refiling to include the hospital bills.

Would it have been possible to wait on the bankruptcy until all your medical bills were over with ?

IAAL has a good point, just be sure you ask what would happen and how long you'd have to wait. The new law has provisions to stop serial BK filings and you woudn't want to run afoul of that.
