What is the name of your state? New Jersey

I have the division of motor vehicles telling me I owe them approximately $50,000 in surcharges. I have been told that I can file for a chapter 7 and wipe this out. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanx!

this is not true I had a friend that recently filed bankrupty in NJ and had Motor vehicle surcharges of $6000 that are over 10 years old and was told they are not dischargable. If you hear something different please let me know.
