I was ticketed in Atl. Ga. one morning for making a left turn during a restricted time. The officer was staked out on the street on which I was turning. The light was green and there was no traffic approaching the intersection. There is only one sign prohibiting the turn. It's on the curb about 5 yards from the intersection. I wonder if anyone could tell me if there is any law regarding the signs for a "no left turn"? Are they supposed to be a certain distance from the intersection? Clearly visible? I don't think it's very conspicuous and would appreciate any help.

Take some pictures, they speak "a thousand words" and it might help. Are you saying you were unaware that this was a "no turn?" Any other traffic tickets? Maybe you will get probation before verdict. Take the pictures.
