My daughter is being sued by her ex boyfriend for a new pickup he bought stating that it was bought conditionally upon completion of their marriage. He never formally asked for her hand in marriage nor gave her a ring. There is no written contract stating that in the event of their breakup she must return the truck. Does he have a case at all?

The title is in my daughter's name and it is completely paid for. Her ex paid for it. No liens no loan.

Thank you. She has consulted a lawyer to help her find out for sure what he can or can't do.

I am in the same boat. MY ex fiancee gave me a car titled in my name only and paid for. He is now taking me to small claims court. It has been very long and costly and still not done in court. How did your daughter do?Tammy from Indiana
