So husband revised his plan down to 5 weeks in the summer which is basically what Ex agreed to before. Now she isn't agreeing to it (not sure when she wants him to have daughter in the summer then) and only wants him to have her 1/2 Christmas break instead of entire break. Now she is telling her lawyer that daughter hates husband and doesn't want to see him. Well husband just talked to his attorney and now we are on to getting a GAL. Both parties have to agree and pay 50/50 or else Ex has to agree to husband's parenting plan, or so I'm told. GAL costs about $2000! I doubt that Ex will want to pay a GAL seeing as how daughter said they are already going broke with lawyer fees. If daughter is truly saying she hates husband then maybe she will go through with it, but if Ex is making that up to her lawyer she may cave into his parenting plan. Frankly I think daughter feels so indebted to Ex that she would lie to the GAL to make sure her mom doesn't hate her. Isn't it just really easy for kids to lie to the GAL to appease one parent or the other, whether they feel that way or not?

Anybody/everybody can lie to a GAL. But a GAL normally isn't there for one meeting with everyone. NORMALLY. Of course, YOU really need to just let go. Your hubby is in this on his own and has counsel.
