What is the name of your state? New York State

I've gotten a speeding ticket in the New York State around the Buffalo area for travelling at 78mph in a 55mph zone. The ticket does not show how much fine and demerit points they will charge me. Instead, I would need to fill out a form indicating whether or not I plea guilty. If I do then they will send me the charges and I'll pay it. If I plea not guilty, then I'll have to go to court.

I would like to know how much would the fine be if I plea guilty?
And if I plea not guilty, go to court and got denied, would there be any additional charges?

That's how it works in NY. Normally your best option is to plead not guilty and then try to talk to the ADA and get a reduction prior to your court date. That could be awhile since some NY courts are up to a year behind.

Your best bet is to show up for the appearance date. You will likely be offered the chance to plead guilty to lesser speed, which means a lower fine and less points.
