I thought a POD account falls outside of probate?
That is correct.
Whoever is named POD gets the account...
That is correct.
...no questions asked?
One can certainly ask questions.
Wasn't there someone responding on this website being sued by the website owner recently?
I have no knowledge of a recent lawsuit by this site. When a former member was banned for whatever happened, hurricane Wilma paid me a visit.
How did that go?
Sorry, I have not paid any attention to whatever happened with a recent or past lawsuit for this site. I don't care about it.

We went through this painful sequence with sweets53 awhile back under a different user name (may have been just plain sweets, but I don't feel like looking). He/she refused to believe that anybody could challenge the setting up of joint account ownership or a POD/TOD designation.

See, sweets, it can happen. So, as you go about maneuvering your siblings out of any inheritance, be careful.

From what's left with sweets current moniker is him/her confusing a trust with a will.

Yes Sweets my big brother or 'geeman' has challenged the POD account my father left me. Come on come out of hiding and introduce yourself to everyone. Just found out that there is no 'cause of action' on the your lawsuit. My attorney now has filed a motion to dismiss the case due to no cause of action. Ya know I wish he'd wake up and smell the coffee. This could have been over 18 months ago. What a jug head. But now the fun begins.

That's a good one Blondie:p I used to be very scared about this whole thing but now it is getting fun just like my attorney said it would. Now I think he owes me big time after what he did to me. How could he have overlooked such an important aspect as 'cause of action' I told him a year ago there wasn't a cause of action but he didn't do anything. What a lame brain!:D

Just be wary of your attorney, he/she's only your friend as long as your keep feeding $$$. I've known a few unscrupulous types who'll take any case as long as they have a foolish enough client with deep pockets. Then wouldn't you know, as soon as the money runs out, they don't have a case. What a surprise.
