What is the name of your state? Ca
I share title with a person who has been dead for over ten years. There was no will and I can't find any of his family. How do I get this name off of my title.

Is a form of ownership indicated on the deed (jt. tenants, tenants in common) or as partners? Are you sure there was no will? Is it possible that it was filed in another place?

Then his interest passes to his estate. I believe a "Quiet Title Action" could accomplish what you want. I presume the court would require legal publication for heirs over a required time frame, and evidence of your efforts to locate the heirs. If the court agrees, they can award full title to you.

I am not an attorney.
