Hi

My friend and I were stopped in NH and the cops found 2 open containers in the car. My friend was sober and was not arrested for any DWI related but we both were booked for open container and have to appear in court. Should we talk to the prosecutor before hand? Any good defense advice? We wound up being very friendly with the cops after the several hour ridiculous ordeal was over. Also, I'm fron CT where this law dosent exist.

Thanks for any and all help,

About what, exactly?

Any good defense advice?

Not really, you had an open container of alcohol in the car. Get a lawyer.

Yes, they're normal people...

Also, I'm fron CT where this law dosent exist.

So?

If you'd like to know what you're looking at as far as penalties, your license may get suspended for up to 60 days, you may get a fine of up to $1,000.00; you may get both.

Good luck.
