What is the name of your state?TX
I am in a situation where, my husband gave his child (my stepson) a spanking during his last visitation. This stepson has some behavioral problems. Any way, his mother called CPS and the sherrif and filed a protective order on my husband. She claimes both kids are now terrified of him and he left bruises on stepson. CPS worker says there are definetly bruises. It coudl be possible that he did leave bruises. The problem is my husband rarely ever spanks the kids. And he did this one time out of desperation. that everything else he tried had no affect on the kid. Back to the point. At the hearing for the protective order, the Judge said that he found that this in not likely to happen again. that he will extend the protective order for 60 days while my husband attended counseling. In the meantime, the 60 days are up, the day before court - the biomom, has filed for supervised visitation and has requested the protective order be extened to 30 more days while we wait for the modification hearing.
On a side note: She has moved in with 4 different men in the last 4 years, married and divorced one of them, She is very angry and bitter towards my husband and exhibits a lot of PAS. She would love nothing more then to have him suffer by not seeing the kids.
To those of you you managed to make it this far - Thank you - and what would your oppion be for the outcome of a case like this?
Thank you for your time.
