What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

I need to travel for my work.
Received four traffic tickets in VA in about 9 months - Although I think, atleast two of them were not real legit, I went ahead and paid the fines. Infact, I've called the courts and asked if I could traffic school to get the points off of the record for atleast one of them. I didn't get any help there.

In TX, 4 moving violations in 12 months can get your license suspended.
Will these tickets show up on my TX Driving record? How long will it take for them to show up? I'm really concerned.

Can you please post your experiences?

Thanks a bunch!

If you paid the ticket, you were pleading guilty and that makes them legit.
Virginia isn't assessing points on your Texas license, they're just passing along the convictions. You'll have to talk to Texas about what you can do to ameliorate your accumulation of points.
Texas will give you 2 points (regardless of what Virginia's points are, our points tend to start at 3 for a minor offense) for each non-crash citation.
It could take months for these to propagate there.

Thanks FlyingRon.

Tried getting info from TXDPS (Department of Public Safety). TX operates in a different way. The issuing County assesses the points, not the DMV.
So, they kept referring that I talk to the County in VA that issued the ticket. But in VA, the county doesn't assess the points. So, there's a conflict.

Is it possible that they may not pass the info to TX at all?

Despite the Divers License Compact I am doubtful that many states report convictions to the driver's home state. In New York I check driver's records on a daily basis and have never seen an out-of-state conviction on anyone's record.

It's possible that the convictions will not get reported, but then again they might at some point.

Your best bet right now is to straighten out your driving habits, especially in Virginia. It's easier to not get the tickets in the first place.

By the way, in Virginia you can take traffic schools online, however the final exam for all of these classes must be taken live and in person at designated locations in Virginia. The schools will remove points from your Virginia driving record but won't affect Texas.

Thanks HighWayMan.

Regardless, I'd like to explore the possibility of taking the traffic school in VA and get my tickets cleared.
My concern is...since the tickets are already proocessed and posted, will my efforts go as a waste?

Can I reach out to the court clerk, explain my situation and go about taking the traffic school?
The fines are already paid in full.

Any suggestions/recommendations as to how I can go about this?

Appreciate the help!

The court clerk has nothing to do with it at this point. You've already been convicted.

The Virginia DMV should be your point of contact. It may be that your privilege to drive in Virginia will be suspended if you accumulate enough points there. A class should help that situation.

Again, be aware that the "final exam" for such a class must be taken in person.
