You could, but you would need *valid* reasons why. Then it would be up to him to decide.

Good luck!

well, the ncp missed his october visit and march visit and now his week in the summer visit, his next visit is a weekend visit per month and he said he is not coming to childs state for a wk.end visit..[so what the ncp is] showing is that he will [only] exercise the visits to take child to his state,he is skipping the visits that was also granted for him to see the child in her state, but he is skipping those!![so see he is only seeing the child 2x's a year] sooo????

Been away at a big trial and then took a week off -- am back on freeadvice now.

Having a child go out of state for visits w/a virtual stranger sounds tough. The judge could order that the visits go according to schedule or he could say that given the unique circumstances here, other arrangements will need to be made.

Do you have a copy of the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines? Those went into effect March 31, 2001, and they would help enlighten you about your rights/responsibilities in cases like this.

If you'd like me to mail you a copy, let me know a mailing address, and I'll be happy to mail you one.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions. OK?
