What is the name of your state? Michigan

Hello,

I recently had my account overdrawn at my bank for around $700. That was due to automatic ebay payments that im currently in dispute with. I spoke with a guy in the collections dept of my bank and asked to close my account, i was told that not only will they not close the account but i will be looking at 1 to 10 years in prision.. I find this very hard to belive, i thought that i am able to close the account and then work out a payment option with the bank. So my question is am i gona goto prision just because i do not have the full amount at the moment. I also told the guy that i would be able to pay it off within a month tops of the account being closed. but again they said that i will be proscuted and goin to prision. Isnt that a little harsh for someone that has NEVER gotten in trouble with any forms of the law.

thanks

Did you fraudulently overdraw your account?

Ask your informant the statute number he is referring to and post back.

All of the overdrawn funds were taken out automatically via e-bay. Not one of the funds taken out were by me buying something ect..

Obviously, you owe the money and you should get it taken care of immediately.

But I want you to ask the guy to give you a statute number then post back.
