What is the name of your state? pa
i am trying to not live up to my name... i helped a x bfriend with his vehicle... (sic) by having it in my name..... well here possibly goes #3 dui, but this time had a twist, they charged me for letting him drive the vehicle (that is under my name) on a suspended license. He said the suspension is due to non payment child support (at least for now) and they suspected dwi, after all it was 12:00am... He hasn't lived here in weeks, and I have been trying to get my name off of everything that is associated with him, but this is a maddening vicious circle.... I tried to help him in his business, also, I see that ending also. But at least my name is off of most of it.

As for this charge, could it bring points to me or make my insurance go up???

He says he is working on getting it out of my name and it couldn't be too soon. He also said he will take care of the fine, which he should, but that is really only the tip of the iceberg.... I know this is long, but I am so frustrated and everything else, Well I even have the paperwork posted on my inside of the door that leads to outside. That way, I will always be reminded how just one stupid mistake out there can Costs you Plenty!!! and a reminder that I need to be opposite of TOO NICE... :(

In VA, allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle is a class 1 misdemeanor (up to a $2500 fine and up to 12 months in jail). You would have to give me the statute that you were charged with for any additional info, but I assume that PA is similar.

It sounds as if you have learned your lesson, even though this is a hard way to go about it.
