What is the name of your state? California
Wondering what are the typical court costs of a Partition action? I'm trying to convince our "parnters" it would be cheaper for them to accept our offer to buy them out of this run-down cabin rather than go to court. Thanks, M

attorney fees, costs of bringing the lawsuit, realtor and/or auctioneer fees, appraiser fees, survey costs....

I'm out $5K legal fees alone, 2+years of my time, and thousands on other expenses. I don't doubt my jackass lawyer is going to hit me with more costs when this is over.

I'm in GA, so it is probably more $$ in CA, depending how complicated is it.

Good luck and hope yours goes better than mine. Hang in there.

**A: if your attorney is a jackass, he will.

**A: I have seen a partition action cost anywhere from $19K to $2.5 million in legal fees.
