What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WI
We finally have those medical bills settled and a confirmed amount for what I actually owe. During all the back and forth ex's attorney stated I could send the payments through her. I sent my first payment to her 2 weeks ago, shortly thereafter I received an email from ex demanding I send the checks to him.
I am hesitant to do this for 2 reasons, 1. I don't want him or his wife having my bank account number (yes, I know I "could go get a money order but that does cost more money and more running around when I'm already crazy busy). 2. I want that 3rd party verification that payment was made and received.
Am I doing anything wrong by sending the money as suggested by his attorney?
